June Snell

June N. Snell, 97, of Loveland passed away on April 23, 2013. June was born on January 8, 1916 in Cincinnati, OH to Arthur and Norma (Juegling) Wilson. She graduated from high school in Mt. Vernon, OH. June married Rex Snell in June 1944 in Miami, FL. Rex passed away in 1970. June lived in Miami, FL., for 60 years before moving to Loveland in 2004. She worked at Hialeah Hospital in Miami for many years. June was very involved with her church doing volunteer work at the Miami Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she was a member for over 60 years. June is survived by her daughter Cindy and husband Terry Kinyon of Loveland; grandchildren Scott Fardulis and wife Juliette of Loveland; and great-grandchildren Blake, Ashton and Sienna. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rex; her parents; grand-daughter Amy Fardulis and brother Arthur Wilson. James “Jim” Leland Osborn June 26, 1938-April 13, 2013 74, formerly of Greeley James “Jim” Leland Osborn, 74 years old, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Jim resided in Cedar City, UT since February 2013, formerly in Greeley, CO. Jim was born in Greeley, Colorado on June 26, 1938 to Charles (Lee) & Virginia Osborn. He grew up in Northern Colorado where he enjoyed the outdoors, horses, & ranching. Jim joined the Air Force in 1958 and his tour of duty took him to Germany, he then was honorably discharged in 1960. Jim earned his commercial pilot license in the early 60’s and loved to fly. Jim had several careers; most revolved around farming/ranching and included veterinary pharmaceutical drug rep, banking & finance for agricultural loans, and resort membership sales in Southern California. One of his favorite careers was working for the Brush Livestock Exchange where he worked for his Uncle Bob Walker; and in his later years as Ranch Manager of Phantom Lakes Ranch in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. During his life Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and the outdoors. In 1979 he aided in the creation of a civil air patrol wing in Clayton, New Mexico where he was the wing commander. Jim was known for his humor, charm, wit & ability to make friends. Jim was preceded in death by his daughter Victoria Monfort of Greeley, CO. He is survived by his son Rick & (Nancy) Osborn of Cedar City, UT, his daughter Holly Osborn of Greeley CO, and his two step-son’s Chris & (Carrie) Mock and Cedrick Osborn of Southern California. Jim had 11 grandchildren: Alyson, Amy & Siena Osborn; Brenden Lee, Kenneth & Ciara Monfort; Destri, Darian & Diamond Guerrero; and Lauren & Katie Mock. His family would like to personally thank his close network of friends who supported him over the last few years with their love, care, kindness & generosity. Thank you to Rick Allnutt, Delmar & Jody Brewer, Brian & Robbin Flockhart, Ray & Mariko Howell, Ed & Lane Maxwell, Charlie Monfort and Family and Alan Walker & Cindy Allee. A memorial service will be held for Jim at the Allnutt Macy Chapel, Greeley, Colorado, on June 26, 2013 at 9:30 AM. The inurrnment will be held at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado, June 26 at 1:00pm. José Erminio Córdova September 12, 1928-April 11, 2013 84, Greeley José Erminio Córdova, 84, of Greeley passed away April 11, 2013 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born on September 12, 1928 in Kelly, New Mexico to Julian M. and Maria J. Cordova. He married Matilde A. Sanchez on January 21, 1951 in Magdalena, New Mexico. She died in 1977. He graduated from Magdalena High School and went on to graduate from Cal State University at Chico and the University of New Mexico. José taught at CSU – Pueblo for three years and then at UNC as a Professor of Elementary Education, retiring in 2004. Most recently, he was very involved with organizing a bilingual charter school. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and served as an advisor for Ancianos (Rodarte Center). José served as a Seabee in the Navy from 1946-49 and then in the Reserves until 1953. He was a member of the American Legion. José enjoyed helping kids and being involved with students. He was an avid gardener and engaged in many community and civil rights organizations over the years. He was very involved in Bilingual Education and notably served on a National Committee on bilingual-bicultural education under President Jimmy Carter. He is survived by his sons, Larry (Vicky) Cordova, New Mexico; Gary Cordova (Yvonne Manipon), Oregon; Jerry (Michelle) Cordova, Oregon and Joe Cordova (Angela Sedillos), Colorado; brother, Remy (Velma) Cordova, Colorado and sister, Carmen (Art) Swearinger, Illinois; as well as 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and by brothers Juanito, Tim and Junior Cordova. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 19, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Inurnment at Evans Cemetery to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Matilde Cordova Scholarship Fund for the School of Nursing @ UNC in care of Allnutt Funeral Services, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO 80631. Audrey Catena – Muro

Audrey Elizabeth Catena (nee Muro), 50, of Fort Collins, CO was surrounded by friends when she passed away on March 22, 2013 at Pathways Hospice in Loveland, CO after bravely battling small cell lung carcinoma. Audrey was a beloved friend, daughter, and sister. She was an amazing woman who inspired and touched many lives with her calm understanding, her caring nature, infectious smile, and profound love for all creatures. The love she freely shared will be forever in the hearts of the individuals that she touched. Audrey was born on November 25, 1962 to James Donald and Anita Louise (Musinsky) Muro in Astoria, NY. She attended school in Queens, NY. Audrey attended Immanuel Lutheran School (K-8) in Whitestone, and graduated from Bayside High School in Bayside in 1980. Audrey was most proud of the 15 years she served as the Senior Secretary to the Honorable William Giaccio, New York Supreme Court Justice. In the past several years Audrey put all of her attention and resources into developing, implementing and managing an extensive live quail breeding colony to benefit the raptors at the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program in Ft. Collins, CO. Audrey was recognized for her outstanding achievements in raptor, rodent and quail care when she was designated as RMRP’s Volunteer of the Year in 2011. All of Audrey’s friends and family are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, April 13th at 11:30am at Timberline Church in the East Auditorium, 2908 South Timberline Road, Fort Collins. Please come with a story to share about Audrey. Following the Timberline service, a casual pot-luck reception and a continued Celebration of Audrey’s Life will be hosted from 1:00 pm-3:30 pm at Rocky Mountain Raptor Program’s main center, located at 720 East Vine Drive, Fort Collins.
